The Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) awarded $31.9 million in federal and state tax credits to support the creation of 2,039 affordable housing units in 23 communities.
The Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) is seeking public comment on proposed changes to its QAP, including changes that would increase the positive economic, social and environmental impact of affordable housing projects while improving the competitiveness of rural developments.
Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers issued Emergency Order #15, which temporarily bans foreclosures and evictions. The order is effective immediately and shall remain in place for 60 days. Under this order, landlords are prohibited from serving any notice terminating a tenancy for failure to pay rent. As detailed in the order, landlords are also prohibited from commencing a civil action of eviction unless certain conditions are met.

The Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority announced a competitive National Housing Trust Fund (HTF) application cycle available only to projects that will be applying for nine percent LIHTCs in the Supportive Housing Set-Aside in the 2020 LIHTC Cycle. To be eligible for this HTF funding round projects must meet all requirements for Supportive Housing Set-Aside applications as defined in the 2019-2020 QAP.
