The Ohio Housing Finance Agency posted the 2021 Affordable Housing Funding Application (AHFA), which must be used for nine percent applications, four percent-only applications, and FHAct50 applications. It should not be used for 2021 Bond Gap Financing applications, as the 2021 BGF Guidelines have not been released.

The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) posted draft 2021 Design & Architectural Standards, which include the following major changes for 2021:
A new section for minimum rehabilitation requirement
Requirements for radon prevention/reduction and lead-based paint hazard reduction
Inclusion of property standards for projects receiving HOME, National Housing Trust Fund, or Community Development Block Grant- Disaster Recovery funds.

The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) posted the final version of the 2021 Multifamily Underwriting Guidelines, as well as the OHFA Expected Useful Life Table and PCNA Table of Contents template, which are referenced in the Underwriting Guidelines. The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA), in conjunction with the Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing, will hold a LIHTC acquisition/rehabilitation training on October 15 from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. ET.
OHFA is sponsoring a training by U.S. Housing Consultants on Conquering LIHTC Compliance. The events will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET on October 6 and 7.

The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) posted the second draft of the 2021 QAP – Technical Revisions. Comments on the second draft should be submitted by September 2, 2020. OHFA expects to present the QAP to the its multifamily committee on September 9 and to its board for approval on September 16.

The Ohio Housing Finance Agency’s (OHFA) Office of Multifamily Housing is conducting a survey on its 2021 QAP. Responses are due by 6:00 pm ET on August 21. OHFA also released a summary of the stakeholder comments received in response to the first draft of the 2021 QAP.
