HUD’s Federal Housing Administration (FHA) and Fannie Mae recently announced a joint venture to allow owners of existing affordable rental housing properties to refinance into new mortgages that include funding for energy- and water-saving upgrades, along with other needed property renovations.

This notice announces that the multifamily rental project closing documents have completed the notice and comment processes. The final versions of the documents can be found on HUD’s Web site.

HUD has issued a new final rule that amends certain Federal Housing Administration (FHA) regulations to update these regulations to reflect current HUD policy in the area of multifamily rental projects.
