The Florida Housing Finance Corporation Board Meeting is scheduled for June 18.

Florida Housing posted a 2021-2022 RFA Funding Timeline. This document is expected to be presented to the Board of Directors at the June 18 Board Meeting.

Florida Housing released its state report on the High Needs High Cost Pilot. In 2014 Florida Housing awarded $10 million through a competitive application process to three nonprofit developers to develop permanent supportive housing properties in Duval, Miami-Dade and Pinellas counties. Studies around the nation show that cost savings to public systems, particularly crisis services, occur when high utilizers of these services are provided with supportive housing.

At the April 30, 2021 Board Meeting, the Florida Housing Board of Director’s approved a staff request to issue a new RFA with the Competitive Housing Credits and Grant funding remaining from RFA 2021-106 Financing to Develop Housing for Persons with Disabling Conditions/Developmental Disabilities. 

Florida Housing published the 2021 rent and income limits for HUD’s HOME Investment Partnership, National Housing Trust Fund and Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery Programs. Both limits are effective as of June 1, 2021.

Florida Housing posted the Application Submitted Report for RFA 2021-208 SAIL and Housing Credit Financing for the Construction of Workforce Housing. The Review Committee Meeting is expected to be held June 2 at 2 p.m. ET via webinar (register here), and the results are expected to be taken to the June 18 board meeting.

Floridia Housing is asking property owners, managers and landlords to promote its What Home Means to You art contest. The top 40 designs will be displayed in the Florida Housing Finance Corporation building and online to kick off National Homeownership Month in June. Kids and teens between the ages of 5 and 18 are invited to create a drawing on blank piece of paper. The deadline to submit artwork is Monday, May 3, 2021.

Florida Housing has posted the 2021 combined income limit and rent limit schedule for rental programs and Community Workforce Housing Innovation Pilot (CWHIP) Homeownership.

Florida Housing updated its three 2021 geographically-based RFAs: RFA 2021-201 for medium and small counties, RFA 2021-202 for Broward, Duval, Hillsborough, Orange, Palm Beach and Pinellas Counties and RFA 2021-203 for Miami-Dade County.

Florida Housing modified its RFA 2021-208 SAIL And Housing Credit Financing For The Construction Of Workforce Housing.
