In a letter dated May 11, 2009, California State Treasurer Bill Lockyer sent a letter to key staff at the Department of the Treasury, HUD and the IRS expressing concerns about the recent Application and Terms and Conditions guidance for the implementation of Section 1602 (the Exchange Program) of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

The California Tax Credit Allocation Committee (TCAC) yesterday (April 16) issued a memo in response to public comments received on its proposed regulation changes related to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). TCAC has considered all the comments and has finalized its recommendations to the Committee for adoption on April 30, 2009.
California Tax Credit Allocation Committee has issued a memo regarding its single 2009 funding round for 9% tax credits. CTCAC staff has proposed a regulatory scheme that would allow competitive Credit Ceiling (9%) reservation recipients 45 days following preliminary reservation to obtain an equity partner Letter of Intent. If applicants were unsuccessful in obtaining an equity partner, they could return their 9% credits and compete for cash in lieu of credits.
