Arkansas Governor Signs Bills to Extend State Housing Tax Credit

Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders signed two bills into law on April 13 that will extend the state’s Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credit for five years and change the tax credit percentage depending on locale.

Conine Selected as Arkansas Development Finance Authority President

Mark Conine has been named president of the Arkansas Development Finance Authority (ADFA). He replaces Bryan Scoggins, who retired this spring. Conine most recently was ADFA’s chief financial officer and vice president of finance and administration. Previously, Conine served 12 years as the chief financial officer of the Arkansas Student Loan Authority.

Arkansas Legislation Would More than Double State HTC Cap, Extend Sunset Date

A bill in the Arkansas House of Representatives (H.B. 1555) would increase the State Historic Tax Credit (HTC) from $4 million to $10 million and extend the sunset date from December 31, 2027, to December 31, 2037.
