The Arizona Department of Housing will present its annual LIHTC Application Workshop on January 8, 2021 from 9 a.m. to noon MT via Zoom. Developers (or their Co‐Developer or Consultant) who plan to submit an application in the 2021 round must attend this annual workshop. Register here.

Arizona Issues COVID-19 Compliance Guidance for Assisted Rental Properties

The Arizona Department of Housing (ADOH) issued updated compliance guidance for rental properties with LIHTC, HOME, state and national Housing Trust Fund and Neighborhood Stabilization Programs funding sources. IRS Notice 2020-53 allows income recertifications to be delayed for the remainder of the year. However, it does not delay or exempt owners/agents from ensuring LIHTC households are still meeting student eligibility requirements.

Comments on Arizona’s Draft 2021 QAP Due Sept. 8, Virtual Focus Group Aug. 31

The Arizona Department of Housing posted first draft of its 2021 QAP. Written comments can be sent to rental-qap@azhousing.gov and will be accepted until 5:00 pm MT on September 8, 2020. Comments may also be provided at during a Virtual QAP Focus Group on Zoom scheduled for 10:00 am to 12:00 pm MT on August 31, 2020.

Audited Financial Reporting Deadline Extended to Sept. 30 for HUD’s Multifamily West Region

HUD’s Multifamily West Region is extending the audited financial reporting deadlines until September 30, 2020. This waiver is limited to entities, which are required to submit the referenced annual financial information on or before June 30, 2020.
