The Arizona Department of Housing (ADOH) released a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) soliciting applications from State Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) eligible Communities and Counties for CDBG State Special Projects (SSP) eligible activities.

The Arizona Department of Housing released a 2021-2022 State Housing Fund Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA). Projects financed with four percent LIHTCs will be eligible for up to $2,000,000 in gap financing from the State Housing Fund. In addition to State Housing Trust Funds, National Housing Trust Funds are also available, making almost $21 million dollars available under this NOFA.

On June 29, the Arizona state legislature passed a State LIHTC in S.B 1124. The state credit available to properties placed in service after June 30, 2022 is equal to at least fifty percent of the federal credit with a $4 million annual cap. Governor Doug Ducey (R) has until July 12 to sign or veto the bill, otherwise it will become law on its own. 

HUD is allowing states to combine their 2020 AND 2021 Pilot Recovery Housing Program Action Plan submissions. Accordingly, the Arizona Department of Housing combined its 2020 and 2021 plans and is accepting comments through July 16. Comments should be sent to publiccomment@azhousing.gov.

The Arizona Department of Housing is requesting input as it develops its draft 2022 QAP. Written comments can be sent to rental-qap@azhousing.gov by August 23.
