Spotlight on The EconomySpeaker: Robert Hogue is a member of the Macroeconomic and Regional Analysis Group, with RBC Economics Research. He is responsible for providing analysis and forecasts for the Canadian housing market and for the provincial economies. His publications include Housing Trends and Affordability, Provincial Outlook and provincial budget commentaries. In his functions, he is frequently called to comment on the economy both internally within RBC and externally with clients and the media. Mr. Hogue joined RBC in May 2008 after spending 15 years with another Canadian financial institution as a senior economist specializing in industrial analysis. At the outset of his career, he spent four years as an economist with Ontario Hydro, where he specialized in industrial and macroeconomic analysis. Mr. Hogue holds a Master’s degree in economics from Queen’s University and a Bachelor’s degree from Université de Montréal. |

Island Tour & Gourmet Tasting Experience* Separate registration required. Registration fee: $90 Great networking opportunity! Adults and children are welcome. Just 20 minutes from Quebec City is the charming Île d’Orléans which stretches along the St Lawrence River. This is one of the first settled colonies of the New France. We will spend a relaxing afternoon tasting regional wine, Ice Cider (non-alcoholic cider available) and Creme de cassis. Our final stop we will visit a local Chocolate Factory nestled in a 200-year old ancestral house.

Montmorency Falls Scenic Hike* Separate registration required. Registration fee: $65 Parc de la Chute-Montmorency is a few minutes from Quebec City. It’s one of the province’s most spectacular sites. With its awe-inspiring 83m/272′ waterfall, a full one and a half times higher than Niagara Falls. The falls may be discovered on foot or by a Cable Car. So bring comfortable walking shoes and your camera. There are beautiful photo opportunities from the top of the falls.
