Breakout Session 2A: New Opportunities in Affordable Housing Energy Efficiency and RenewablesSpeakers:
There are new opportunities emerging for multifamily developers and owners to reap the benefits of energy efficiency investments. Developers who have successfully navigated some of these opportunities will come together for a breakout session at the 2016 Spring Developers Forum to talk about what they have achieved and what they learned from the process. Sydne Garchik, MRK Partners, and Sean Armstrong, Redwood Energy, will present on how fuel-switching reduced their utility costs by $23,000 a year. Caitlin Rood, Mercy Housing, and Jeff Greenberger, Affordable Community Energy, will discuss their approach to the whole building retrofit process. Trisha Miller will talk about her company, Wishrock Investment’s, model for on-property solar projects and participation in community solar projects, which is an emerging opportunity in several markets across the country. Jerome Garciano, attorney for Robinson & Cole, will moderate a discussion and Q&A with the audience following the panelists’ presentations. |
