Arizona Schedules Hearing for State LIHTC on July 29

Michigan Issues Gap Financing Program NOFA

The Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) has issued it’s 14th round for the Gap Financing Program – Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA). This Program is designed to improve MSHDA’s direct-lending production, achieve deeper income targeting and to assist with being able to finance tax-exempt bond transactions utilizing the four percent LIHTC.

Louisiana Publishes Draft 2022-2023 QAP

The Louisiana Housing Corporation has released a draft of the 2022-2023 Qualified Allocation Plan(QAP). The document is a preliminary summary of proposed changes to the QAP. The items considered are the result of written comments received, comments made during the focus group meetings and public hearings, internal data analysis, and research to achieve LHC’s housing priorities and objectives effectively. 

QAP Alabama

Alabama 2022 QAP Hearing – July 28

The Alabama Housing Finance Authority will hold a hearing on its draft 2022 QAP, draft 2022 HOME action plan and draft 2022 National Housing Trust Fund allocation plan at 10 a.m. ET on July 28 CT at the Hampton Inn & Suites – Eastchase (7651 Eastchase Parkway, Montgomery, AL 36117). Comments can be sent via the 2022 plan comment form by 5 p.m. ET on August 27. 

QAP Arizona

Arizona Amends RHP Action Plans

HUD is allowing states to combine their 2020 AND 2021 Pilot Recovery Housing Program Action Plan submissions. Accordingly, the Arizona Department of Housing combined its 2020 and 2021 plans and is accepting comments through July 16. Comments should be sent to publiccomment@azhousing.gov.

Florida Hosts RFA 2021-205 Workshop – July 13

Florida Housing will host a workshop on its RFA 2021-205 SAIL Financing of Affordable Multifamily Housing Developments To Be Used In Conjunction With Tax-Exempt Bonds And Non-Competitive Housing Credits on July 13 at 2 p.m. ET. The workshop will be held both in person at Florida Housing’s office (227 N. Bronough Street Tallahassee, FL 32301) and via webinar. Register here to attend via webinar.

Florida Housing posted new drafts of the LIHTC Geographic RFAs and Development Cost Pro Formas.  Each RFA Webpage also includes a comparison document outlining the changes between the last posted draft and the new draft.

QAP Illinois

Comments on Illinois’ Draft 2022-2023 QAP Due July 30

The Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA) released the 2022-2023 draft QAP. IDHA will hold a public hearing at 10 a.m. CT on July 20. Comments should be sent to qapfeedback@ihda.org by 5 p.m. CT on July 30.

Louisiana Posts Draft 2022 QAP

The Louisiana Housing Corporation posted a revised draft of its 2022 QAP. Comments should be sent to qapcomments@lhc.la.gov.

QAP Maryland

Maryland Allocates $40 Million to Assisted Housing Relief Program

The Maryland Department of Housing & Community Development (DHCD) set aside $40 million to relaunch the Assisted Housing Relief Program (AHRP), which serves rental units in multifamily projects financed by DHCD’s Community Development Administration using state funds and other federal resources.

Ohio Includes All HDAP Programs in Updated FAQ

The Ohio Housing Finance Agency updated its HOME frequently asked questions document to include all Housing Development Assistance Programs (HDAP): Ohio Housing Trust Fund, National Housing Trust Fund and HOME. Questions have been updated regarding rent limits, utility allowances, student rules and more.

QAP Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania Extends Closing Deadline to Sept. 30

The Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency is extending the closing deadline for Program Year 2020 developments due to the COVID-related construction pricing increases and delays from July 31 until September 30, 2021. This extension is available for all Program Year 2020 developments that applied in the 2020 application round and continue to hold a valid allocation of 2020 credits or conditional forward commitment of 2021 credits subject to 2020 Program Year deadlines.
