TCAC will close the comment period for the pending regulation change proposals on August 31, as originally planned. Thereafter, TCAC will propose revisions to some of the proposed changes and open a new, shorter comment period to solicit comments only on the proposed revisions.

The Joint Committee on Tax Credits will hold a meeting to discuss potential changes to Vermont’s Qualified Action Plan. This meeting is open to the public.

In a new proposal announced last Friday, Mayor de Blasio addresses economic integration by leveraging the booming market-rate real estate industry by requiring affordable housing in upzonings (Mandatory Inclusionary Housing).

The Louisiana Housing Corporation gave notice that a public hearing on the proposed forward allocated 2016 Qualified Allocation Plan will be held at 9:00 a.m. on August 28, 2015, at the Louisiana Housing Corporation, 2415 Quail Drive, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70808.

The Iowa Finance Authority released its 2016 draft qualified allocation plan, a red line version, and an overview of changes. They are open for public comment until August 25 at 4:30pm. Comments may be submitted via email.

The Notice of Proposed Rulemaking for Rule 67-21.003, F.A.C., was approved by the Board of Directors at the August 7, 2015 Board Meeting. Florida Housing Finance Corporation will hold a Rule Hearing concerning this Rule on September 1, 2015, beginning at 11:00 a.m., Eastern Time.

The New York State legislature passed a bill that extends the 421-a tax exemption for projects in New York City beginning construction before December 31, 2015 and a establishes a new exemption for projects on which construction starts after that date.
