The Maryland DHCD is in the process of reviewing the received 9 percent LIHTC applications. Threshold reviews are taking place over the next month, or so, and, as projects are reviewed, applicants will be notified if their projects fail to satisfy the threshold criteria. Applications that pass the threshold will move forward to scoring and DHCD expects to make funding announcements during the summer.

Approximately $2 million in Section 811 project-based rental assistance is available under Round 1 of the Section 811 Project Rental Assistance (PRA) program. New Jersey’s 2019 Unified Application for HMFA Multifamily Rental Housing Production Programs (UNIAP) is now open. The UNIAP covers Multifamily Financing Programs, Low Income Housing Tax Credits and Supported Housing and Special Needs Programs. Applications for the nine percent LIHTC Family, Senior and Supportive Housing Cycles and Mixed Income Reserve are due by noon EDT on September 12.

The Board of Directors of Florida Housing Finance Corporation approved the Review Committees’ motions and staff recommendations to adopt the scoring results, select Applications for funding and invite the Applicants to enter credit underwriting regarding Request For Applications (RFAs) 2019-104, 2019-107 and 2019-109. The Board of Directors also approved the Notices of Proposed Rulemaking (NOPR) for Rule Chapters 67-21 and 67-48 of the Florida Administrative Code.

The New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority (MFA) and the New Mexico Department of Finance and Administration, Local Government Division (DFA) are seeking public comment on the Draft State of New Mexico 2019 Annual Action Plan (AAP).

Oregon Housing and Community Services, Oregon Health Authority and Oregon Business Development Department are seeking public comments for priorities for housing and community development in its Proposed 2019 Annual Action Plan (AAP).

The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) released the Draft Housing Development Loan (HDL) program guidelines, as well as an overview of the updates made. OHFA’s Office of Housing Policy released the Draft 2020 Housing Needs Assessment and the Draft 2020 Annual Plan.

The Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS) released the 2019 OHCS Portfolio Preservation NOFA #5043. This offering includes $10 million in gap funding resources, along with Oregon Affordable Housing Tax Credits, to be paired with four percent LIHTC for the preservation of OHCS Portfolio Properties with existing LIHTC restrictions at risk of loss.
