California to Use 2019 Operating Expense Minimums in 2020

For 2020 the California Tax Credit Allocation Committee (TCAC) will continue to use the 2019 Operating Expense Minimums. Please note, when the 2020 Operating Expense Minimums are completed later this year, they will be published on the TCAC website for reference. In 2021 TCAC staff expects to publish and require 2021 Operating Expense Minimums.

The Florida Housing Finance Corporation issued RFA 2020-103 Housing Credit and State Apartment Incentive Loan (SAIL) Financing to Develop Housing for Homeless Persons. Applications are due by March 31, 2020.

Applications for Illinois’ 2020 Nine Percent LIHTC Due March 23, Final Guidance on Four Percent Transactions

The 2020 nine percent LIHTC application materials are now available on the Illinois Housing Development Authority’s (IHDA) website in the Developer Resource Center. Massachusetts Guidance on Temporary 2020 Census Bureau Employment

The Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development released guidance on the exclusion of income derived from temporary 2020 Census Bureau work. Effective immediately, income derived from temporary 2020 Census Bureau employment is to be excluded from households’ countable income calculations for projects that involve any of the DHCD-assisted programs.

New Jersey 2020 UNIAP Now Available

The Unified Application for NJHMFA Multifamily Rental Housing Production Programs (UNIAP) from the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency (NJHMFA) is now available. The UNIAP can be used for Multifamily Financing Programs, LIHTC and Supported Housing and Special Needs Programs. NJHMFA also posted the nine percent LIHTC timeline and other important resources.
