In September 2020, Alaska Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC) will announce a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for a Rural Demonstration round under its Greater Opportunity for Affordable Living (GOAL) program. Under this NOFA, AHFC will make grants, zero-interest loans and LIHTCs available for competitive allocation to successful pre-application respondents to construct new rental housing in small communities off the Alaska road system.
The California Tax Credit Allocation Committee (TCAC) is granting projects with 2018 and 2019 carryover allocations a six-month extension of their respective placed in service deadlines. Projects with a 2018 carryover allocation have a placed in-service deadline of June 30, 2021. Projects with a 2019 carryover allocation have a placed in-service deadline of June 30, 2022.
Natasha Weaver, Tax Credits manager with the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA), announced her retirement. She will leave CHFA at the end of August and will continue working with the Tax Credit team during the next few months, including preparing for the Round Two applications that are due on August 1.

First-time filers must register their properties with DCR by emailing a completed Change of Status Form to dcrmdrr@njcivilrights.gov prior to submitting their MDRR report for 2019.
The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) posted an updated Affordable Housing Funding Application (AHFA) The Instructions tab of the AHFA includes a list of the updates made. The LIHTC rents and Qualified Census Tracts were updated to reflect 2020 values, Bond Gap Financing (BGF) submission requirements and scoring sheets added and several other changes incorporated.
The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) and the Texas Apartment Association (TAA) are presenting online LIHTC on Thursday, June 25, 2020. This training will be led by TDHCA compliance staff and provides a solid foundation of information that owners, managers and on-site staff need to know in order to be in compliance with requirements for the LIHTC program.
