Kentucky Posts Strategic Operating Grants NOFA

Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) released a funding application for modest operating grants, open to nonprofit partners across the Commonwealth. The UFA for this NOFA will open August 24, 2020, and applications are due September 24, 2020. Awards will be announced in late October/early November 2020.

Maryland Posts 2020 LIHTC Income and Rent Limits, FAQ and Updated Application Documents

The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) posted the 2020 LIHTC Program Income and Rent Limits. DHCD also updated the FAQ document for the 2020 competitive funding round.

QAP Ohio

Ohio QAP Survey Due Aug. 21

The Ohio Housing Finance Agency’s (OHFA) Office of Multifamily Housing is conducting a survey on its 2021 QAP. Responses are due by 6:00 pm ET on August 21. OHFA also released a summary of the stakeholder comments received in response to the first draft of the 2021 QAP.

Oregon Awards $60,822,101 to Build and Preserve 802 Affordable Homes

Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS) announced funding awards of $60,822,101 worth of grants and tax credits to build and preserve 802 homes through the federal nine percent LIHTC, HOME and General Housing Account Program (GHAP) resources. QAP Connecticut

Connecticut Resumes HTCC Site Visits, MORs

The Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA) will resume Housing Tax Credit Contribution Program (HTCC) program quarterly site visits in August. HTCC visits occur quarterly once an awarded development reaches 25, 50, 75 and 100 percent completion in construction. CHFA will not perform onsite physical inspections until December 31, 2020 or until a time that a determination has been made that it is safe for staff, residents and owners to resume physical inspections.

In accordance with HUD guidance, CHFA will resume HUD Section 8 Management and Occupancy Reviews (MORs) on August 4, 2020. Your CHFA Asset Manager will contact you to schedule the MOR. Please contact your Asset Manager with any questions relating to MORs.

Kentucky Opens 2021 Tax-Exempt Bond Application

Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) opened the Universal Funding Application (UFA) for multifamily developments utilizing Tax-Exempt Bonds (TEB) and four percent LIHTCs (no KHC gap funds) on August 3, 2020. This is an open window application with no specific submission deadline.

QAP Maryland

Maryland Reopens Assisted Housing Relief Program

On August 3, the Maryland Department of Housing & Community Development (DHCD) reopened the Assisted Housing Relief Program. Tenants in eligible properties may receive assistance for unpaid rents for the period beginning April 1st and ending July 31, 2020. Assistance will be paid directly to the property. The program is limited to rental units in multifamily projects with State financing or Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC).
