Louisiana Housing Corporation’s (LHC) Board of Directors approved $212 million to develop 1,633 affordable rental units across six Louisiana parishes. LHC’s Board of Directors also approved a resolution to adopt the state’s 2021 QAP.

HUD recently announced that Minnesota Housing was one of 12 housing finance agencies from around the country selected to receive a Section 811 Project-Based Rental Assistance (PRA) Program grant. Minnesota Housing is working with HUD to finalize the selection in the coming months. Eligible

The New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority (MFA) released a draft version of 2021 QAP for review. Comments should be submitted by 5:00 pm MT on September 8, 2020. MFA will hold a virtual hearing on September 2, 2020 from 1:30 to 3:00 pm MT, at which comments may also be submitted.

The Vermont Housing Finance Agency (VHFA) Board of Commissioners recently awarded state housing tax credits for five affordable homeownership development projects. Homes receiving tax credits will retain their affordability for future buyers should the owners sell the home in the future.

The Alaska Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC) is opening registration for the Teacher, Health Professional and Public Safety Housing Grant Program (THHP). Under this program, competitive funding may be available for new construction, rehabilitation or acquisition of public service professional rental housing in small communities.

The California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) released frequently asked questions for the Homekey Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for $600 million. The Governor’s Office has been working with philanthropic partners to create an additional $45 million in funding to support critical operations for Homekey projects.

The California Tax Credit Allocation Committee (TCAC) announced that the 180-day readiness deadline to begin construction on August 17, 2020 for projects awarded state tax credits on February 18, 2020 will remain,  unless an extension has been granted. All required documents are received by TCAC no later than 5:00 pm PT on the deadline.

The Florida Housing Finance Corporation posted a draft development cost pro-forma for RFA 2020-204 Housing Credit Financing for the Preservation of Existing Affordable Multifamily Housing Developments. Florida Housing also revised the draft development cost proforma’s for RFA 2020-201, RFA 2020-202 and RFA 2020-203.
