The Arizona Department of Housing (ADOH) posted clarifications and answered questions received from the Virtual Q&A held on August 31, 2020 regarding the Request for Proposals (RFP) to renovate the Birch Building located on the Arizona State Hospital (ASH) grounds.

The California Tax Credit Allocation Committee (TCAC) updated its 2020 program schedule. The TCAC meeting and award date for the second round of competitive applications has been changed from September 30 to October 14.

The Florida Housing Finance Corporation released a draft Coronavirus Relief Fund – Rental Assistance Application and three CRF Subsidy Request Report – Recap of Tenant Income Certification Templates. Comments on the draft application should be sent to CRFRental@floridahousing.org and comments on the templates should be sent to IssuesCRFTemplate@floridahousing.org by September 10, 2020.

The Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA) released the 2021 application schedule both the nine and four percent LIHTCs. The application deadline for 2021 nine percent LIHTC is January 22, 2021. IHDA will accept PPAs for four percent LIHTC on a rolling basis through December 31, 2020.

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear (D) signed Executive Order 2020-700, dedicating $15 million in federal Coronavirus Relief Funds for a Healthy at Home Eviction Relief Fund. The fund is a statewide effort to prevent Kentuckians from facing eviction and to allow landlords to realize substantial payments for back rent.

The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) updated its Community Development Administration (CDA) Supplementary General Conditions and 2020 competitive funding round Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ). The North Carolina Housing Finance Agency will hold a 2021 QAP Public Hearing on September 16, 2020 at 10 a.m. ET. The Public Hearing will be held virtually only with no in-person attendance at the Agency. Register here. Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS) recently announced four additional developments funded through its Local Innovation and Fast Track (LIFT) Housing Program. During the August Special Session legislators allocated $50 million in additional LIFT funding to address the mounting need for affordable housing. OHCS provided these funds to developments that, due to insufficient resources, were unable to receive funding in July.

The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) announced that the place in service (PIS) deadline has been extended by six months, going from December 31, 2020, to June 30, 2021 for all 2018 nine percent LIHTC developments.

The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) posted drafts of the 2021 Qualified QAP, Multifamily Housing Revenue Bond Rule (Bond Rule) and Multifamily Direct Loan Rule (Direct Loan Rule) for public comment. The public comment period remains open until 5 p.m. CT on October 9, 2020.
