The Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA) posted the 2021 Multifamily Housing Application and Program Materials, which cover requests for LIHTCs, PennHOMES, PHARE Housing Trust Funds (HTF) and Agency first mortgage products used in connection with the development or preservation of affordable rental housing in the Commonwealth.
Governor Greg Abbott approved the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs’ (TDHCA) 2021 QAP on December 1, 2020. The QAP will become effective 20 days after submission to the Texas register.
House Bill 854 directs Virginia Housing and the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) to conduct a study of state policies and programs. The survey is an opportunity to provide detailed and meaningful feedback on any and all state-administered housing funds, policies and programs your organization uses.

While the claim in the November 2020 audit that $2.7B in tax-exempt bonds were wasted oversimplifies the program mechanics and ignores the economic conditions at the time, what’s critical now — when housing bond demand exceeds supply by more than two-to-one — is that the state allocate all remaining bond issuance authority to affordable housing.”

Florida Housing clarified that households receiving Section 8 rental subsidy, as well as other households receiving federal rental subsidy, who can demonstrate that their monthly incomes have been specifically impacted by the COVID-19 crisis are eligible to participate in CRF for the household’s portion of rent, options (such as washer and dryer rental included in the lease or through an addendum to the lease) that are not paid by any other federal rental subsidy. The prohibition of duplication of benefits does not prohibit stacking benefits but does prohibit duplication.
