Cedar Court residents, state and local government officials, and representatives from Red Stone Equity Partners, Webster Bank, CHFA, and HUD celebrated the completion of Cedar Court’s renovations. The senior housing community consists of 91 one-bedroom apartments, a community center, and multiple courtyards. All guests enjoyed the afternoon with pizza and ice cream.

Effective June 1, Greg Voyentzie has assumed the role of CEO for Boston Financial Investment Management (Boston Financial), after serving as an Executive Vice President for the company.

The transaction will preserve 805 affordable units in Houston, TX.

Nixon Peabody recently announced the arrival of Kathie Soroka as counsel to the firm’s Affordable Housing and Real Estate practice in New York City. Kathie is one of the nation’s foremost professionals in the Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD), having been a key player in the development of the program’s structure while she served as Senior Counsel to the General Counsel of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

In January, Pennrose, Hunt and Acacia Network were selected to address over $400 million in capital needs across NYCHA’s portfolio. Mayor de Blasio announced the expanded redevelopment plans in a press conference held June 25.
