Dominium Begins Construction on The Grainwood Senior Housing Development

When completed, property will consist of 168 senior housing units. Dominium closed on the property on March 1, 2016. The construction will be formally kicked off at a groundbreaking event being held on April 18.

Ohio Suspends the Use of the Utility Allowance Consumption Model

OHFA announced that effective July 1, 2016, new requests for a consumption based utility allowance will not be accepted. Owners who have requested a consumption based allowance prior to July 1 are exempt from this suspension.

Oregon Finalizes 2016 QAP, Develops 2-Step Application for 4% LIHTC

Oregon Housing Stability Council announced that the 2016 Qualified Allocation Plan has been signed by the state’s governor. 4% LIHTC applications are funded on an ongoing basis. OHSC has developed a new 2-step application process to give predictability over the timing of the 2016 QAP taking effect.

Florida Hosts National Housing Trust Fund Workshop

Florida Housing Finance Corporation will hold a workshop on Thursday, April 28, 2016, starting at 1:30 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time, to discuss a proposed National Housing Trust Fund (NHTF) Allocation Plan with the public and stakeholders.

Michigan Allows Penalty-Free Withdrawal from April 1 Funding Round

Applicants who make this request by 5:00 pm on April 13, 2016 may also receive a refund of the LIHTC application fee that was submitted with their application. After this date, all remaining applications will be processed, unless otherwise withdrawn by the applicant, and fees will not be returned.
