Preservation of Affordable Housing (POAH) leaders were joined by Mayor Muriel Bowser, the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED) and the District of Columbia Housing Authority (DCHA) to cut the ribbon on POAH’s first construction in the Barry Farm redevelopment in Southeast DC. The Asberry is a mixed-use building with 108 units of affordable rental housing with a preference for those aged 55+. The group also broke ground for the neighboring Edmonson, the future affordable 139-unit mixed-use property.
