Gov. Tina Kotek released the Governor’s Recommended Budget (GRB), detailing her vision to build on housing progress. The GRB enables OHCS to continue advancing critical initiatives across Oregon, including boosting housing supply, strengthening pathways to homeownership, preventing and reducing homelessness, and modernizing infrastructure to deliver tangible results.  

A few GRB highlights include:   

  • Shelter funding (Package 501); 
  • Funding for rehousing (Package 502); 
  • Long-term rental assistance (Package 503); 
  • Resources to continue work related to infrastructure and financial assistance for preventing evictions (Packages 504, 505); 
  • Funding to build a new grant system, housing-related funding for Oregon’s nine federally recognized Tribes (Packages 506); and 
  • Much more.
