The Senate has yet to take up the Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act (H.R. 7024), which passed the House in January and contains two critical LIHTC provisions. Senate Finance Committee Chairman Ron Wyden (D-OR) introduced an amendment to attach the tax bill to the must-pass Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Reauthorization. The FAA reauthorization deadline is May 10, and many are angling to have non-FAA related amendments added to the bill.
Next Steps: Please reach out to your Senators – ask Democrats to ask Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) to bring the bill to the floor for a vote and ask Republicans to support the bill.
