Woda Cooper Companies, Inc. hosted a grand opening and ribbon-cutting at the Woodward Way Apartments in Meridian Township, MI. Woodward Way is a 49-unit contemporary styled two-story building that offers eight one-bedroom, 34 two-bedroom and seven three-bedroom apartments. Financing for the $13.9 million property includes LIHTC allocated by Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) through its competitive Qualified Allocation Plan to identify where expanded affordable housing is most needed in the state. MSHDA recognized the potential impact that Woodward Way would make in addressing a critical need for affordable housing in the Meridian Township community where rents are quickly rising.
