In preparation for the 2022 Competitive Housing Tax Credit Application Cycle, the Multifamily Finance Division of Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs posted the following documents:
- The Request for Rural Designation Packet: this packet is for use by certain Urban political subdivisions or census designated places requesting to be designated as Rural. Under the proposed 10 TAC Section 11.204(5) of the 2022 QAP, certain political subdivisions or census designated places may request a Rural designation from the Department for an area within the boundaries of a primary metropolitan statistical area or a metropolitan statistical area for the purposes of receiving an allocation of housing tax credits. The request must be submitted to Elizabeth Henderson at Elizabeth.henderson@tdhca.state.tx.us by 5 p.m. CT, no later than December 15.
- The Experience Certification Form: Persons wishing to meet the experience requirements detailed in the proposed 10 TAC Section 11.204(6) of the 2022 QAPs must submit this form and required documentation to establish that they have experience that has included the development and placement in service of 150 units or more.
