On March 9 the National Park Service published its FY-2020 Annual Report for the Historic Tax Credit Program. Last fiscal year, the NPS processed 989 Certifications of completed work (Part 3) resulting in an estimated $6.54 billion in rehabilitation costs. The report highlights that 10,894 new units of housing were created in FY-2020 using the HTC and an additional 5,730 existing housing units were rehabilitated. Overall, one third of these units were dedicated to low and moderate income families, primarily by twinning with the LIHTC.
