HUD has announced Mark B. Van Kirk as the new Director of the Office of Asset Management. In his new role, Mark will be responsible for the oversight of multifamily project assets after the development phase, the development of policy and the oversight of field office asset management operations. Before joining the HUD Multifamily leadership team, Mark was the Chief Operating Officer of Pillar Multifamily, LLC, a Fannie Mae DUS Lender, a business which he also co-started in 2005. Mark also served with Fannie Mae for almost ten years in the Multifamily division focused on multifamily credit, asset and portfolio management.
