California Updates Resyndication Requirements; HCD Pauses Some Guidelines/NOFAs

The California Tax Credit Allocation Committee (TCAC) updated is Resyndication Requirements Checklist for all TCAC application.

To increase alignment with TCAC and the California Debt Limit Allocation Committee (CDLAC), the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) has decided to briefly pause its multifamily housing programs until TCAC and CLDAC complete their regulations update process. The regulations are expected to be adopted before the end of the calendar year. The following guideline updates and NOFAs will be paused until further notice:

• Multifamily Housing Program (MHP) guidelines
• Infill Infrastructure Grant (IIG) guidelines
• Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities (AHSC) guidelines — Additional information on the timing of the adoption of guidelines for Round 6 will be provided by SGC and posted on their website.
• Infill Infrastructure Grant (IIG) (originally planned for November 2020)
• Joe Serna Jr., Farmworker Grant program (originally planned for November 2020)
• Multifamily Housing Program (MHP) (originally planned for January 2021)
• Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities (AHSC) program (originally planned for November 2020)
