The Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) has released the State of Tennessee proposed 2012 Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP). THDA clarifies that the amount of tax credits available for allocation under the 2012 QAP is limited to those that were not previously made available in the 2011 allocation round as forward commitments. The Agency has indicated that the total allocation pool will be equal to no less than $1,500,000 which includes the total of any credit amount not forward committed in the 2011 QAP, any unallocated credits from the previous year, any returned credits from the previous year, and any amount allocated to Tennessee by the IRS from the national pool. THDA proposes that any tax credits allocated in 2012 will be set-aside specifically to developments submitted by Tennessee Public Housing Authorities (PHAs), with a priority for HOPE VI projects.

Those interested in providing comments to THDA about the proposed 2012 QAP may do so at a public hearing being held on Thursday, November 10, 2011, at 1:00 pm CT on the lower level of Parkway Towers,404 James Robertson Parkway, Nashville, Tennessee. In order to receive first priority, individuals who intend to make verbal comments at the hearing should notify THDA by filling out this form no later than 1:00 pm CT on Wednesday, November 9.

In addition, written comments may be submitted to the Agency by 12:00 pm CT on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 via e-mail to Ed Yandell at eyandell@thda.org, by fax (615) 564-2700, by hand delivery, or by mail/express delivery at:
