The US Green Building Council will host a free 3-part webinar series exploring green affordable housing development. The webinars will examine case studies to discover factors driving green affordable housing, as well as strategies for success and the benefits of going green and will explore the tools and strategies to finance retrofits of existing multifamily developments. The first webinar entitled “Driving Smart Decisions in Green Affordable Housing” will take place October 20, 2011, the second entitled “Financing Green Multifamily Retrofits” will take place November 3, 2011, and the third entitled “LEED Certified Affordable Housing: It gets better every time” will take place December 8, 2011. Each webinar session will be held from 1:00 to 2:30 pm EST and will be registered for 1.5 hours of continuing education with AIA/CES SD/HSW, and GBCI CMP hours for LEED professionals.
