Tennessee Guidance on Temporary Housing Relief
The Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) updates its Housing Credit Compliance webpage to include Section 42 Guidance for Temporary Housing Relief in response to the Tennessee Severe Storms, Tornadoes, Straight-line Winds and Flooding. Tennessee received a FEMA Major Disaster Declaration on March 5, 2020. LIHTC property owners can provide temporary housing for Displaced Individuals for a period of 12 months with approval from the state housing credit agency. In this memo, THDA authorizes all LIHTC owners/management agents in Tennessee to utilize the emergency housing relief authorized in the applicable revenue procedures for the duration of the Temporary Housing Period. THDA also released the Request to Provide Emergency Housing and Displaced Household Certification forms.
