The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) Multifamily Finance Division has posted a revised 2020 Multifamily Uniform Application. The revisions impact:
- Tab 23, Building/Unit Configuration Form: In previously posted applications, the calculation at the bottom of the Building/Unit Configuration Form related to common area was changed in a way that included common area in the Cost per Square Foot calculation in Tab 30 for all nine percent LIHTC Applicants. TDHCA has fixed the calculation so that common area will only be included for Supportive Housing Developments that enter a value for common area within the Supportive Housing section of the form. To avoid having to start a new application form, nine percent LIHTC Applicants that are not Supportive Housing may simply remove the value that was entered in cell AF78 of any previous application form. Those using the revised form should enter the value in the space indicated. While all applicants will notice a change in the form, the revision primarily affects applicants for the nine percent LIHTC
- Tab 34, Finance Scoring: Cell N28 was revised to capture 20 percent Units, as well as 30 percent Units so that all units at 30 percent or less of AMGI are captured. Applications that include 20 percent units and plan to request points under Tab 34, Section 3, Leveraging of Private, State and Federal Resources will have to use the revised application to ensure the correct score is populated on the Self-Score Form. This revision only affects applicants for the nine percent LIHTC program.
