The DC Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) recently issued a notice that announces registration for a lottery of affordable housing units under the Inclusionary Zoning Program shall be open from Friday, May 27 through Friday, June 10, 2011. Inclusionary Units are located in new or substantially rehabilitated developments and are designated for Households that earn at or below 50% or 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI) for the Washington Metropolitan Statistical Area. There are three ways to register for the Inclusionary Zoning Program lottery:
- Register online;
- Register in person at DHCD’s Housing Resource Center, 1800 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE, 1st Floor, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, (202) 442-9505, or
- Register in person at the 3rd Annual DC Housing Expo and Foreclosure Clinic at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, 801 Mt. Vernon Place NW on Saturday, June 4, 2011 from 10 am to 3 pm.
