The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, in an effort to evaluate its existing regulations, is soliciting public comments to assist in analyzing existing significant regulations to determine whether they should be modified, streamlined, expanded, or repealed. HUD is also seeking comment to identify specific current regulations that may be outdated, ineffective, or excessively burdensome. The purpose of this regulatory review is to make HUD’s regulations more effective in achieving HUD’s mission to create strong, sustainable, inclusive communities, and quality affordable homes for all. Comments are due to HUD no later than May 2, 2011.
