After four years as the Executive Director of Oregon Housing & Community Services Victor Merced recently announced he will be leaving his position for new opportunities. Deputy Director Rick Crager will act as Acting Director until a replacement is named by the governor. Rick Crager has been with Oregon Housing and Community Services since 1998 and was appointed the Deputy Director October 1, 2006.
Crager has also served as Chief Financial Officer for the Department as well as Financial Services and Investment Portfolio Manager. Mr. Crager worked in two other state agencies before joining OHCS in 1998; As Accounting and Budget Manager with the Oregon Commission on Children and Families (1993-1998), and as Staff Accountant for the Oregon State Marine Board (1990-1993).
