Applications for the National Housing Trust Fund Program are being accepted by Alabama Housing Finance Authority (AHFA) beginning immediately and will continue on an ongoing basis (to include the 2019 competitive application cycle) until further notice.
1st TIME APPLICANTS
First time applicants should submit the following materials:
- 2018 AHFA National Housing Trust Fund Application Submission Forms (including Architect’s Certification)
- Deviation Request Form (if applicable)
- AHFA DMS Authority Online Application
Environmental Studies for HTF projects will be engaged by AHFA.
All application information is posted on AHFA’s website.

HOME/HC OR HC AWARDEES MAY ALSO APPLY
Projects awarded during the AHFA HOME/HC Program Years 2017 or 2018 may also submit an application for HTF funds. The applicants must have committed to provide 5% of the total proposed units for tenants with disabilities or homeless populations and be in compliance with the HTF program requirements, inclusive of the 30% AMI restriction and the 30-year affordability period.
