The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has released the list of qualified census tracts (QCTs) and difficult development areas (DDAs) for 2019 for the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program. Multifamily developments located in a QCT or DDA and utilizing LIHTCs are eligible for up to a 30 percent basis boost. The 2019 QCTs and DDAs are effective for allocations of LIHTCs beginning Tuesday, January 1, 2019, and for bond-financed properties where the bonds are issued and the building is placed in service after Tuesday, January 1, 2019.

The updated listing of QCTs and DDAs is available on Kentucky Housing Corporation’s (KHC) website under Development, Multifamily, Underwriting Resources.
