On Friday, April 27, the Colorado General Assembly passed legislation that would continue the state’s Affordable Housing Tax Credit program through 2024. Originally renewed in the 2014 legislative session, the state Tax Credit Program has proven to be a critical resource; leveraging over $465 million in private sector investment into Colorado, which in turn has helped support over 4,000 affordable apartments be developed or preserved. Given the program’s strong track record, the state Affordable Housing Tax Credit program was renewed with strong bipartisan support.
Please thank the bill sponsors: Senator Jack Tate, Senator Lucia Guzman, Speaker of the House Crisanta Duran, and Representative Jon Becker for their tremendous leadership.
