The New Markets Tax Credit Coalition recently released its 2017 NMTC Progress Report. This is the thirteenth edition of the report and NMTC President Robert Davenport said the quality of last year’s projects “bests any previous year.” The report was compiled with the help of 87 CDEs completing the NMTC Coalition’s survey.

  • 76% of last year’s projects were completed in severely distressed communities.
  • 36,000 jobs created in areas with high rates of poverty and unemployment
  • Projects included 28 healthcare facilities, 26 manufacturers, and building or rehabilitating 15 schools
