The Asset Management Division of the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (“TDHCA”) seeks to remind Owners and Agents of the upcoming 10% Test deadline for the 2016 9% Housing Tax Credit Program (“HTC”) awards. As published in the 2016 Qualified Allocation Plan (“QAP”), 10 TAC §11.2 in the Program Calendar for Competitive Housing Tax Credits, the deadline to submit the 10% Test for the 2016 HTC awards is Friday, June 30, 2017. Owners wishing to submit extension requests without incurring a fee must submit extension requests as directed in 10 TAC §10.405(c) by no later than Wednesday, May 31, 2017.
Owners should note the update in the Post Award Activities Manual that in order to satisfy Fair Housing Certificate requirements under Tab 5 for the Development Owner, the individual taking the Department approved Fair Housing training must be identified in the Development’s Organization Chart.
