The Veterans General Housing Account Program (GHAP) NOFA is anticipated to be released in June. Oregon Housing and Community Services will be making $8 million available to house low-income veterans through either new construction or acquisition and repurposing of existing property.
OHCS issued the first Veterans GHAP NOFA in 2015, which awarded $3.7 million in funds to two projects in Klamath Falls and Medford. This second round of funding doubles the previous amount, and OHCS is exploring potential opportunities to leverage these funds with Mental Health Housing funds and the Oregon Affordable Housing Tax Credit.
