Volunteers of America is pleased to welcome Priya Jayachandran as Senior Vice President for Affordable Housing Development.  Priya comes to VOA from HUD’s Office of Multifamily Housing Programs where her last role was as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Multifamily Housing.  She joined HUD in September 2014 as a Senior Policy Advisor to help FHA’s work with LIHTC, while later the same year, assumed Acting Directorship of the Program Administration. Prior to joining HUD, Priya spent over 15 years in community development real estate banking in New York and Washington, DC at both Citi and Bank of America. She has also worked for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in La Paz, Bolivia as a consultant to women’s microcredit organizations; Credit Suisse as an investment banking analyst; and California State Treasurer Kathleen Brown as a Capital Fellow.
