A redline draft of the QAP has been released and will be presented today to the Board of Directors. Changes to the QAP include:
- One funding round rather than two.
- New Rural Pool (25% of allocation after 10% non-profit is allocated). Half of this pool is set aside for rehabilitation projects.
- New 30% AMI Pool (25% of allocation after 10% non-profit is allocated). Reserved for projects with at least 10% of project units set aside for incomes at or below 30% AMI.
- Market Study Challenge. Applicants may request a second market study to challenge a market analyst’s findings as long as the request is in writing and submitted with the challenge response packet by August 22, 2017.
An official public hearing will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 9:30 A.M. in the V. Jean Board Room to receive comments on the Draft QAP. You are encouraged to submit written comments to qapcomments@lhc.la.gov in advance of the public hearing. Comments will be accepted until the 2017 Final QAP is approved at the April 12, 2017 board meeting. Any comments received after approval of the 2017 Final QAP will be maintained for the development of the next QAP. LHC appreciates your feedback and participation in the development of the 2017 QAP.
