The NOFAs make almost $9.5M available for supported housing for serious mental illness, $2.5M for supported housing for substance use disorder, and over $2.2M for supportive housing. Almost $2M is also available for crisis respite housing.
The funds come from a 2015 commitment by the Oregon legislature, providing capital to acquire, construct, and/or rehabilitate Crisis Respite and Supported or Supportive Housing for specified individuals.
Last year’s inaugural round totaled almost $3.8M to help build or acquire 160 units. This year’s funds total over $16.2M.
