Oregon Housing and Community Services Director Margaret Salazar recently announced that after many conversations and research, the Agency has decided on going with “Scenario 3” for dealing with the current changes in the equity market.
This means that Oregon will forgo issuing a 2017 LIHTC and HOME NOFA, instead making more 9% awards to additional 2016 applicants and using remaining credits to fill funding gaps for allocated 2016 projects. A gap funding process should be published by May 2017, and 2016 applicants who did not receive awards can expect to be contacted by staff soon.
