The New Markets Tax Credit Coalition is circulating a sign-on letter urging Congress to preserve the New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) if tax reform moves forward. NH&RA has signed on and urges its members to do the same.
The letter asks that the 115th Congress both retain the tax credit should tax reform occur, and further asks that the New Markets Tax Credit be made permanent.
At the end of 2015, as part of the PATH Act, the NMTC was extended for five years through 2019. The letter stresses to Congress the importance of the NMTC to thousands of businesses, trade associations, service providers, state and local government officials and investors. Read the letter and sign-on by the January 25th deadline.
