Recipients were recently announced for the first funding round of Oregon’s new Mental Health Housing program. The round funded almost $3.8M to help build or acquire 160 affordable housing units. That leaves the majority of funds, over $26M, on the table for the second funding round.
Oregon Housing and Community Services, in partnership with Oregon Health Authority, anticipate making the remainder of funds available in an early 2017 NOFA. In the meantime, OHCS and OHA are working with stakeholders to streamline the application process. NH&RA published an article this summer detailing the new program.
