The Homes for America (HFA) Board has appointed Kathy Ebner as President and CEO.  Kathy has been with Homes for America since 1998, serving in several capacities with the Annapolis based nonprofit housing development organization.  She began her career with HFA serving as the Manager of Homeownership Programs, subsequently was a Development Director, and was most recently the Vice President overseeing Asset Management.  In addition to her work with HFA, Kathy has also worked in real estate and for a nonprofit foundation in Richmond, Va.  A native of Annapolis, Kathy has deep community roots, serving on numerous local nonprofit boards and committees, including serving as President of the Annapolis Junior League and Vice President of Anne Arundel Community Services.  She has an MA in Administrative Services from Johns Hopkins University, a BA from Marietta College and various industry certifications.

In announcing her appointment, HFA Co-Founder and Board Chairman Trudy McFall said, “Kathy is the perfect person to lead us in the continuing growth and development of HFA.  She has extensive knowledge of the organization, our staff, our partners, and the work we do.  She is held in high regard by all who know her and is an outstanding leader.”  HFA, founded in 1994, has developed and owns 75 affordable rental communities with over 6,000 units in four states.

Kathy succeeds Nancy Rase, the HFA co-founder and longtime President and CEO.
