HUD is expected to announce how much funding states will be eligible to receive from the National Housing Trust Fund (NHTF) and to release of a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) very soon. On February 8, 2016, Governor Kasich sent a letter to HUD Secretary Julian Castro notifying him of Ohio’s intent to participate in the NHTF program and designating the Ohio Development Services Agency (ODSA) as the administering entity and OHFA as the sub-grantee to allocate program funds and monitor funded projects.
OHFA has begun soliciting public input for the NHTF Allocation Plan, starting with the NHTF Public Forum held on Thursday, February 25. OHFA will also hold three smaller working groups in March, April and May. The dates, times and locations are as follows:
